Itinerary Details

Start early morning drive from Delhi to Dharamshala. Alternatively, you can opt from Chandigarh to Dharamshala. Reach Dharamshala by afternoon (by Cab). Rest for a while and check in to your hotel. Enjoy a traditional Himachali dinner at a local restaurant or your hotel. Overnight stay at Dharamshala hotel.

Post breakfast, we drive to Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj sightseeing. Dharamshala Monastery (Namgyal Monastery): Start your day with a visit to this serene monastery, which is the home of the Dalai Lama. Tsuglagkhang Complex: Visit the residence of the Dalai Lama, including the Tsuglagkhang Monastery and museum. Bhagsu Waterfall: A short trek (approx. 1-2 hours) to the beautiful waterfall. Visit the Dal Lake near Dharamshala, a peaceful and scenic spot, great for a quick nature walk or boat ride. Triund Trek: If you're up for a morning trek, head to Triund for breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar mountains. It takes 4-5 hours to reach the top. If you prefer a shorter, easier walk, you can visit the nearby Naddi Viewpoint for beautiful valley views. The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala is one of the most scenic cricket grounds in India, situated at the base of the Dhauladhar mountain range. Evening: Stroll through the McLeod Ganj Market for souvenirs and to absorb the vibrant Tibetan culture. Post breakfast, we drive to Dalhousie & Khajjiar sightseeing. Drive to Khajjiar: After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive (about 22 km, 40-45 minutes) to Khajjiar, also known as “Mini Switzerland of India.”Explore Khajjiar: Enjoy the lush green meadows, the Khajji Nag Temple, and the beautiful surroundings. You can also enjoy activities like paragliding or horseback riding in this region. Dalhousie Sightseeing: Visit Panchpula, a picturesque spot known for its natural beauty, and then head to Subhash Baoli, a peaceful place surrounded by deodar trees. You can also visit the St. John’s Church, built in the 19th century, and Kala Top Wildlife Sanctuary, which offers an excellent view of the surrounding hills. Evening walk at Mall Road: Explore Dalhousie's Mall Road and enjoy the pleasant weather and colonial architecture. You can shop for local handicrafts or enjoy a cozy dinner at a café. Post breakfast, we drive to Amritsar, after a 5–6-hour journey, you'll reach Amritsar around afternoon. Rest for a while and check in to your hotel. Visit Durgiana Temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Durga and is one of the most important Hindu temples in the region. Its architecture resembles the Golden Temple, and it’s set in a beautiful garden. Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib): Start your day early by visiting the Golden Temple, the most iconic and sacred Sikh site. It’s best to arrive early to experience the peaceful atmosphere and participate in the morning prayers. Shopping at Hall Bazaar: Head to Hall Bazaar for some shopping. This bustling market is famous for traditional Amritsari shawls, juttis (Punjabi footwear), wooden crafts, jewellery, and more. Overnight stay at Amritsar hotel.

Morning: Have breakfast at your hotel and begin the Amritsar sightseeing tour. Jallianwala Bagh: Just a 10-minute walk from the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh is a significant historical site. This garden memorializes the tragic massacre of 1919, where hundreds of Indians were killed by British forces. Explore the garden, and see the memorial and the well where many people jumped to escape the firing. Visit the museum to understand the history of the event. Gobindgarh Fort: Next, visit the Gobindgarh Fort, which has been converted into a museum showcasing Punjab’s cultural and military heritage. You can explore various exhibits, watch the sound-and-light show, and experience live performances. Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum: Located in the Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Memorial Complex, the museum offers insight into the life and reign of the founder of the Sikh Empire, Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Wagah Border Ceremony: Attend the Beating Retreat Ceremony at the Wagah Border, a dramatic daily ceremony held at sunset, where soldiers from both India and Pakistan perform a ceremonial march and lower the flags.
